A Spectacular “Spooktacular”!

Our first annual “Spooktacular” clinic was a huge success! On Halloween day, 6th graders from the Mabry, Simpson, and McCleskey Middle School orchestras came to Lassiter to work with fantastic string instructors and enjoy fun and festive games with a few tricks (and even more treats)! Students learned about some of the crucial components of musicianship: posture, technique, and ensemble… with a few interesting twists! We had many of our own Lassiter students there both assisting clinicians and coordinating all the fun. Because of their creativity and commitment to the craft, the event was informative, full of surprises, and enjoyed by everyone!

Poinsettias Are Back!

Last year our poinsettia sale was one of our hugely successful fundraising events.  The sale begins Monday, Nov 2nd and only runs a couple of weeks.  This is a great opportunity to display these lovely holiday plants in your home, office, place of worship, etc.  Your newsletter guy (that’s me) bought them for clients last year and it was an awesome way for me to show my appreciation during the holidays.  Everything you need to buy and participate is right here on our website: lhsoa.org/poinsettiasale.  We need six volunteers to assist with the distribution of the poinsettias; please contact Leah Lackey to lend a hand.
