Orchestra Skills Assessments this Tuesday!

Due to the size of the Lassiter Orchestra Program and in order to give timely feedback, Orchestra students will be evaluated after school from 5-7:30. Download the assigned assessment times for your student here.  The assessment itself takes about 5 minutes.  LHSOA is funding nine professional string specialists (this is part of the registration fee you are paying) who will evaluate numerous skills of our students and provide specific feedback which our students can immediately apply in order to improve their skills and musical development. It is important that students prepare adequately for success.  They have had at least two complete classes with our string staff specific to their instrument, so they should be applying concepts presented during their practice sessions. Students received a “Remind” text with their audition time reminder on Sunday.  Directors and student aids are available before school and during lunch periods for help sessions.  If there is an issue with your son/ daughter attending their assessment, please email Ms. Doemel.
