Dinner & a Concert
We launched our very first Zaxby’s Orchestra Spirit Night with a fun evening of food, games, and music at our newest sponsor – Zaxby’s on Sandy Plains. Many thanks to all the families who came out to support our orchestra and to all our musicians who rocked the house with beautiful music. Look for more opportunities to support our Orchestra Program at Zaxby’s in the months to come.

Do I Need Trip Insurance?
Cobb County School District (CCSD) is self-insured for general liability for the protection of its own assets and staff. Contract motor coach companies must be approved by the CCSD, and must maintain the appropriate levels of insurance.
All students must have family health insurance policies that remain in effect for the entire duration of the trip – students who do not have health insurance will not be permitted to travel. Proof of insurance is required to be produced when submitting the school travel forms. Following the open enrollment period, if there is a change in health care providers, please ensure the orchestra directors or the parent trip planners receive a copy of any new insurance cards for archive.
The Lassiter Orchestra Program has enjoyed years of problem-free travel, and the probability of circumstances negatively affecting our trip are slim. Families are welcome to explore the added protection of commercially available trip insurance, which might protect any fees paid in the event unforeseen circumstances require us to alter or cancel our trip. We do have some protections that are built-in to our contracts with our vendors, and any deposits the orchestra makes on our behalf may be refunded in the event of a cancellation, which will then be refunded back to the students who paid deposits. Any shortfall may possibly be covered by supplemental trip insurance, and a good place to start would be with either your own insurance company or Travel Guard, which is a very healthy AIG company https://mvp.travelguard.com/. We are not endorsing, nor do we receive any benefit from AIG for policies written; this is just a potential resource for interested families.
The room assignments were sent via Remind text. Please ask your student. To receive Remind notifications for Lassiter DC tour, text 81010 and write @lhsodc.
