Two Really Important Events
Please attend both on July 26th and August 15th
Orchestra Registration Day Tuesday, July 26 5-7pm
Please make plans to drop in at the 2016-2017 Orchestra Registration evening to complete orchestra related paperwork, receive uniform information/fitting, update student and parent information in the Charms database, bring your instrument for an “Instrument Tune-up” by the luthiers from Beau Vinci Violins and gather valuable information regarding our upcoming year in orchestra in an “Open House” format. We will also have instrument supplies available along with a selection of step-up instruments your student can try out. The Student Officers, Orchestra Director, Ms. Doemel and Assistant Orchestra Director, Mr. Mori will be there for further assistance.
If you are a Notary and can volunteer on the Registration Day(s), please contact Ms. Doemel. Students need to turn in a notarized Medical Release Form.

Dear Lassiter Orchestra Students and Parents,
We are excited about the upcoming 2016-2017 school year and are looking forward to our 2020 Freshman Class joining our ranks!
Our Orchestra Registration Day is for all students and parents and will be a great way for us to “reconnect” after the summer break and get some paperwork out of the way at the same time.
On a bookkeeping note, we have an opening for Co-Treasurer that is vitally important to the functioning of our program. We would be happy to fill you in, if you wish to serve in this capacity. We assure you that you will love serving with our fabulous LHSOA board members! Please contact me, Ms.Doemel, if you can help out.

Lassiter High School Orchestra Association General Meeting Monday, August 15
This is our big meeting of the year where we will discuss our concert season and all of the great events that are planned for the upcoming school year, including the big trip to the Bahamas where we will perform on the Carnival Valor. There will also be an opportunity to complete forms and pay fees if you have not already done so. Look for a meeting agenda in next week’s newsletter.
