Get Well Ms. Stevens

Simpson Orchestra Director Ms. Anne Stevens had a rather large benign tumor removed last week, and the good news is that she will be just fine! All of us in the Lassiter Orchestra Family wish Ms. Stevens a speedy recovery. Ms. Stevens would love to receive get-well wishes; you may give them to Ms. Doemel and she will ensure they are delivered.

Important LGPE Update

PARENTS: Please check your calendars and consider signing-up for a shift for music, friends, and fun! Its only a couple of hours per shift, and we could really use the help. Please go to the 2016 LGPE Sign-Up Genius Page for info on our current needs. The Lassiter Orchestras’ schedule is as follows:

Monday, 2/29, 10:30am: Sinfonia
Tuesday, 3/1, 3:15pm: Chamber II
Wednesday, 3/2, 6:15pm: Chamber I

STUDENTS: Please download and print the Lassiter LGPE Student Schedule, which covers the next few days. This schedule will let you know where you need to be and what the expectations are for you as individuals and as a group. This is very important so please be mindful of times and activities over the next few days.

New York, NY
Less Than 2 Weeks to Away!

Mandatory Student Rehearsal and Trip Meeting

STUDENTS: Please adjust your schedules and make plans to attend this mandatory New York trip rehearsal and meeting, Monday March 7, 4:00 – 6:15. We will rehearse our program, and then following rehearsal we will go over the “rules of the road” – attendance will be taken so, BE THERE!
Check Your New York Trip Status
At this point, all students travelling to New York should have registered on-line with World Strides. Students should also have submitted all required forms disseminated at the trip meetings, which are also available on our website.

We need for each student to log-in to the CHARMS system to see that we have received all the required forms. Once you’ve logged into CHARMS, there will be an icon named “Forms Collected”, and you need to ensure its all there:

  • Notarized Medical Forms
  • Medical Insurance Cards (copies)
  • Overnight Trip Permission Forms
  • Student Administered Medical Forms

For detailed information on Charms instructions, guess what…we have a Charms Information Webpage, check it out!

Questions? Please e-mail Sharon Saxton, your LHSOA Co-Secretary.
