Fall Orchestra Camp 2016, such a blast!
A Message from Your President:
Wow! What a beautiful couple of days filled with music and fellowship. We are extremely fortunate to be able to have a great campus and a wonderful Concert Hall for our orchestra camps where we can host some of the finest world class clinicians to coach our kids.
This past weekend would not have been possible without the behind the scenes work of our student officers (awesome job with the games guys!) and some other very special people. Please join me in recognizing the work of the following Parent-Volunteers who gave their time to make the weekend what is was:
- Audrey Donahue
- Amy VanWormer
- Joanne Russell
- Victoria Moller
- Kristy Smith
- Debbie D’Aurelio
- Gayle Aguirre
- Lynn McLaughlin
- Sharon Powers
- Kristi McAllister
- Jerry Smith
- Jennifer Medley
- Michelle Mayes
- Diana Yuen
- Gene Denny-Lybbert
- Ajit Kahaduwe
Special thanks goes out to these folks who took on some key responsibilities:
- Betty Vogel – our awesome Hospitality Coordinator
- Greg Watson – our talented Orchestra Photographer
- Ida Anderson – our non-stop V.P. and Volunteer Coordinator who brought it all together, from A to Z
And finally, Ms. Doemel and Mr. Mori who always give our kids 100% of everything they have. Unlike some other faculty at the school, our orchestra directors do these weekend camps above and beyond their expected duties because they want our students to have the best music experience possible – betcha didn’t know that! We appreciate everything they do for our kids, so please give them the thanks they deserve the next time you see them.
We have a wonderful orchestra family, and you can ask any of the parents named above how special it was to be a part of it. If you didn’t volunteer this time, there are plenty of opportunities around the corner – join the club!
Yours in Music,
Jonathan Warner
