Congratulations to the Lassiter Orchestras for receiving superior (I) ratings at LGPE!! The dedication and hard work that the students put in really paid off!!
I’m very proud of each of the orchestras, especially considering we had to cancel our LGPE-camp and lost two and a half school days. It’s remarkable what students can do when they put their minds and hearts into somthing!
Special thanks to our chaperones, instrument transporters, and helpers!
Concert – Mr. Sudakov and Ms. London
Philharmonia – Ms. Gilmore, Ms. Randall, and Mr. Delaney
Sinfonia – Ms. Mason and Ms. Edwards
Chamber – Ms Feitell and Ms. Smith
Thank you to Ms. Smith for putting together the pizza and donut orders!! Also thanks to Ms. Feitell and Ms. George for delivering pizza and water!

Placement Auditions for 2025-2026 |
|
Audition material for 2025-2026 is now available in Microsoft Teams and on our website! Audition videos are due on Friday, April 5. Details are in the audition packets for each instrument.
Reminder about our modifications to our course offerings:
- Concert Orchestra will be a 9th grade
-only, NON-AUDITIONED orchestra. (Rising freshmen can still audition for Sinfonia or Chamber)
- Philharmonia will be a 10th-12th grade, NON-AUDITIONED orchestra.
- Sinfonia will be grades 9-12, a "Junior Varsity"
Orchestra with admittance by audition.
- Chamber will be grades 9-12, a "Varsity"
Orchestra with admittance by audition.
These changes will allow students who choose not to audition to have a fun, non-competitive orchestra environment while allowing students who wish to do more to audition for Sinfonia or Chamber orchestra.
Get ready for a super fun spring concert!!! We will be premiering this year’s symphony (full) orchestra and will be performing Sibelius’ Finlandia, Highlights from Wicked, and more!!
HAVE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE BREAK!! :-)
Dr. Laux
