Dear Lassiter Orchestra Families,
Please join us for our “Night of Classics”, Thursday, December 14th at 7pm. We will be performing works of Corelli, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, and much more. Additionally, each class has selected a seasonal favorite to get everyone in the holiday spirit! Our Cello Choir and Bass Choir will be making their debut as well.

The LHSOA will host a bake sale with yummy confections provided by bakers in our community that will be sold from 6 – 7pm and after the concert to benefit our orchestra programs. Come early to the concert and buy yummy, decorative holiday goodies for your family and friends.

Mulch Madness Fundraiser Meeting, Dec 11th 5 – 6pm
Looking for volunteers for a one-time volunteer opportunity. They will help out with mulch loading in spring for this fundraiser. Please attend the committee setup, work definition and distribution meeting on 12/11/2017 at 5pm in the Lassiter Orchestra room. Contact Victoria Moller for any clarifications fundraising@lhsoa.org.

Student Leadership Team
Our orchestra concerts and events have a student body working to make it a success.
Lassiter Orchestra President, Zan Beaver, meeting with the Orchestra Leadership to discuss upcoming orchestra events.
Visiting Professor from UGA
Dr. David Starkweather visited Lassiter Orchestra on Friday. He performed for the students and discussed the compositions. Additionally, Dr. Starkweather answered questions about UGA’s Music School and the numerous music degrees they offer for both majors and minors.
Spirit Night raised $118. Thank you patrons for your support.
Poinsettia Sale
We raised about $2100 selling Poinsettias. Thank you, Victoria Moller, for leading this fundraiser, Amy Warner, Pauline Miller, Ida Anderson for helping with the booth during Lassiter Craft Fair and parent volunteer team of Audrey Donahue, Deepti Jagdev, Sharon Powers, Karrie Dupuy and Suparna Poyapakkam who helped sort and prep over 550 poinsettias for pickup. May these bright colors make your holiday season and spirits more festive.
String Day 2018, Saturday Feb 24th
KSU School of Music invites high school and middle school instrumentalists with at least one year of experience to join us for KSU String Day – a day of learning, performance and fun led by KSU’s exceptional string faculty.
