Dear Lassiter Orchestra Families,

The Lassiter Orchestra Camp is an integral part of the Lassiter Orchestra experience. Your son/daughter will receive approximately 10 hours of ensemble and sectional instruction with the LHSO Camp Staff. Orchestra Camp is essential to the progress of our orchestra program in order to advance to a higher level of string performance and to develop skills as a member of an ensemble.

The Lassiter Orchestra Camp culminates both evenings with a group activity, giving students an opportunity to interact and get to know their orchestra team. As we are able to bring in quality instructors for your children, orchestra camp does come at a cost not covered by the Cobb County School District. In order to provide the quality instruction for all of our students, orchestra camp will be $35. For those who have donated to the LHSOA at the Bronze or higher level, the camp fees will be waived. The camp fee and LHSOA donations enable us to invite some of the best instructors in the field so that the students are able to receive more individualized instruction, which yields a wonderful learning environment for the weekend. Should you have any conflicts or need assistance with the cost of camp, please email Carol Doemel as all instruction is vital to the progress of our students. Carol.Doemel@Cobbk12.org

On Saturday evening, we will all travel to Stars and Strikes! Bowling as an orchestra via Cobb County School District Busses. Busses will take the students to Stars and Strikes but will not be returning to Lassiter. All students must be picked up at Stars and Strikes on Saturday evening at 8:00pm. If you would like for your child to stay past 8:00pm, please note that there will be no Lassiter staff/chaperones supervision. You must send an email stating that you would like for your child to stay at Stars and Strikes past 8:00pm and that you are fully aware that supervision of students by Lassiter staff/chaperones will end at 8:00pm.

We are looking forward to a wonderful camp experience and tremendous growth for all of our orchestra students at Lassiter!

Musically Yours,

Carol Doemel and Koji Mori
