Auditions for Fall Semester – Start Practicing Now!

It seems so far away, yet it will be here before we know it.  Download your audition literature here to prepare for your March 24th auditions.  If there are any changes to the schedule or the program, students will be informed in-class to check the Parent and Student Information Webpage for updates.

Important:  Please Check Your New York Trip Status

At this point, all students travelling to New York should have registered on-line with World Strides. Students should also have submitted all required forms disseminated at the trip meetings, which are also available on our website.

We need for each student to log-in to the CHARMS system to see that we have received all the required forms.  Once you’ve logged into CHARMS, there will be an icon named “Forms Collected”, and you need to ensure its all there:

  1. Notarized Medical Forms
  2. Medical Insurance Cards (copies)
  3. Overnight Trip Permission Forms
  4. Student Administered Medical Forms

For detailed information on Charms instructions, guess what…we have a Charms Information Webpage, check it out!

Questions?  Please e-mail Sharon Saxton, your LHSOA Co-Secretary.

KSU Summer Music Intensive
June 6 – 10, 2016

Open to rising 9th through 12th graders, the Summer Intensive provides students with a taste of what it is like to be a music major.  During the five day non-residential camp, students experience like-instrument technique/master classes, large ensembles, chamber groups, and more. Each day also features a faculty recital as well as special seminars covering topics such as conducting, music theory, aural skills, practice techniques, and lunch in our award-winning dining facility, The Commons.

Participants who attend the Summer Intensive will be considered for scholarships to attend Kennesaw State University and major in the School of Music.
