Dear Lassiter Orchestra Parents,
We are looking forward to a very successful Orchestra LGPE Prep Camp this weekend. We appreciate you adjusting your schedules to ensure your son/daughter’s attendance at Orchestra Camp. As orchestra is a curricular subject, it’s important to the orchestra student’s success in the class to participate fully in the rehearsals and clinics. The students will progress by 2 weeks just from this weekend’s camp. As there is a week off in February, Orchestra Camp is all the more critical for a successful Large Group Performance Evaluation but more importantly for the skill-building and musical fulfillment of our young musicians. You are invited to “drop in” on rehearsals or sectionals at any time to see your student in this learning setting.
We will present a performance of their LGPE programs on Thursday, February 25th at 7pm in the Lassiter Concert Hall.
We invite you also to attend their LGPE adjudicated performances:
- Monday 10:30am @ Lassiter HS – Sinfonia
- Tuesday 3:15pm @ Lassiter HS – Chamber II
- Wednesday 6:15pm @Lassiter HS – Chamber I
