The National Youth Orchestra of Uruguay is Coming to Town!This orchestra’s visit is truly an outstanding musical gift, and all are welcome to enjoy the performances on Tuesday, September 29, 12:30 then again at 1:30 in our concert hall. Make your pledges and let us know what we can expect and you will be recognized for your generosity to our orchestra program. Help WantedIf we all help a little, we can accomplish a lot! Please consider giving some of your time to the orchestra, there are many ways we can use your time and talents. Parent volunteers are need to help paint the driveways of our seniors – this is an honor and a lot of fun. GMEA Solo/Ensemble Program and All StateSaturday, October 10 at Sprayberry High School our solo/ensemble musicians will perform for Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) judges. Please ensure you visit the information page on our website for information on the requirements, and how to register and pay your fees. Bruster’s Fundraiser Money Past-dueIf you have not yet turned-in your money for the booklets you received, you are past-due and we ask that you deposit your money into the LHSOA lock-box in the orchestra room immediately. Its Cold and Flu Season AgainAs we near the time of sneezes and sniffles, the orchestra directors have asked each member to bring-in a box of tissues seeing that there is no current musical notation for a sneeze in the current literature.
