Out of the 225 orchestra students we have this school year, 139 families have made a donation, which is 61.78%; while this is pretty good, we are hopeful every family – 100% – will give at some level towards our programming. Did your student tell you how much they enjoyed fall camp fall camp, or working with their clinicians during sectionals? Did you see the fresh fruit, water bottles, and pizza? My, oh, my, these kids can consume some quantity of pizza! Just wait till you see what we have cooking for winter camp! A representative for the Cleveland Institute of Music will visit the Lassiter Orchestra during 5th period on Friday, Sep 23rd. CIM is one of the most prestigious schools of music both nationally and internationally. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our serious string students to ask questions and get information about the CIM faculty, audition information, and general questions on how to prepare for an audition at a major music conservatory. Parents are welcome to attend.
